We are currently seeking a dedicated Cashier/Checker to join our team. This role is crucial in creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service and maintaining a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return. The Cashier/Checker acts as the visible face at the check lane, greeting and engaging customers while efficiently processing transactions with accuracy and speed. This position requires understanding and effectively using the Point of Sale system and handling various tenders, including cash, checks, credit, debit, and government assistance programs like SNAP EBT and WIC.

The role demands adherence to company policies regarding restricted sales items, pricing discrepancies, and coupon handling, ensuring compliance with all food safety regulations and safety programs. The ideal associate will exhibit honesty, integrity, and respect in their interactions, manage conflict reasonably, and work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment. A key component of the role is fostering a welcoming atmosphere, making customers feel important and appreciated, and assisting them with product questions and concerns.
