We are currently seeking energetic and friendly Cashiers to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is vital to the Habit Burger experience, as Cashiers are often the first point of contact for our guests. The position pays between $17.50 and $20.00 per hour, providing a rewarding opportunity for enthusiastic individuals looking to work in a lively, customer-focused restaurant environment. Cashiers play a crucial role in delivering Genuine Hospitality by greeting customers warmly, accurately taking orders, and processing payments efficiently using the restaurant's Point-of-Sale system. The job goes beyond just handling transactions; Cashiers also ensure the dining area is clean, inviting, and well-maintained, which contributes significantly to the overall guest experience.

In addition to their primary cashier duties, employees will receive cross-training across various Front of the House stations and participate in supporting Back of the House tasks. Job Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in related food service cashier position preferred
  • Food Handler’s Card/Certification may be required according to local and/or state regulations
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on restaurant needs

Job Duties

  • Greet and interact with customers in a polite and friendly manner
  • Take customer’s orders and punch them into the restaurant POS (Point-of-Sale) system
  • Provide customers with information on menu items, ingredients, and prices
  • Process credit card and cash payments and accurately tender change
  • Relay customer’s order to the kitchen
  • Control, organize, monitor and maintain appropriate levels in cash drawer
  • Handle customer’s requests and complaints
  • Maintain cleanliness and stocking levels of dining areas
  • Ensure that the service area is kept stocked, clean, and organized at all times
  • Assist in food portioning and preparation tasks
  • Comply with all established standards, including personal safety, food safety, sanitation, personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform
