Job Duties

  • Be visible and actively greet, engage and assist customers
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Handle various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons and loyalty offers according to company policy
  • Adhere to company limits on cash shortages and overages and work honestly to control loss
  • Follow guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol and tobacco
  • Report pricing discrepancies
  • Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards and coupons
  • Stay current with present and seasonal ads
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines
  • Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
  • Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
  • Create a welcoming environment by answering product questions
  • Follow local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
  • Work cooperatively in high-paced environments
