Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a cashier preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Strong customer service orientation
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to handle cash and perform transactions accurately
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- Preferred 1+ years of cashier experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to supervise and train others
- Familiarity with point of sale systems
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Knowledge of company policies and procedures
Job Duties
- Provide customers with fast, friendly, accurate and safe service
- Process checkout and/or return transactions
- Monitor and maintain the self-checkout area
- Seek product and project knowledge to provide customers with information and identify selling opportunities
- Position cashiers and support them by expediting price checks, approving point of sale transactions and markdowns
- Provide first level escalation for customer issues
- Assist in the supervision, coaching and training of other front end associates
