Job Requirements

be at least 18 years of age
have a high school diploma or equivalent
have 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience
ability to operate front end equipment such as register, calculator, scanner
be dependable and reliable
ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
have good communication skills
ability to take direction and constructive criticism
ability to participate in a team environment
ability to perform repetitious activities
ability to multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized
must lift/carry product weighing up to 30 lbs from 36 inches to 24 inches for up to 50 hours without mechanical assistance
must use both hands to move grocery carts horizontally requiring a force up to 35 lbs for up to 50 hours
requires strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers
proficiency in cash handling and mathematical skills
ability to read, write, and count

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

process customer orders quickly, accurately, and efficiently
handle customer cash, credit/debit payments, and change accurately
provide information and resolve customer complaints
follow all front end procedures
assist with stocking shelves, facing, and dusting
maintain knowledge of weekly ad items and store events
ensure checkout areas are clean and orderly
