Job Requirements

high school diploma or equivalent
prior cashier or retail experience preferred
basic math skills
ability to stand for extended periods
good communication skills
ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
authorization to work in the country

Job Qualifications

minimum 1 year of cashier experience recommended for head cashier position
strong customer service and communication skills
ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently
knowledge of point of sale systems
ability to train and coach team members
problem-solving skills
ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment

Job Duties

provide customers with fast, friendly, accurate and safe service
process checkout and/or return transactions
monitor and maintain the self-checkout area
seek product/project knowledge to inform customers and identify selling opportunities
follow policies and procedures to minimize shrink
position and support cashiers by expediting price checks
approve point of sale transactions and markdowns
provide first level escalation for customer issues
assist in supervision, coaching and training of front end associates
participate in training new cashiers
