Job Requirements

  • at least one year of cashier experience
  • basic proficiency with point of sale systems

Job Duties

  • provide fast, friendly, accurate and safe service to customers
  • process checkout and return transactions
  • monitor and maintain the self-checkout area
  • proactively seek product and project knowledge to provide customers with information and identify selling opportunities
  • follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink
  • position and support cashiers by expediting price checks
  • approve point of sale transactions and markdowns for various registers and service desks
  • provide first level escalation for customer issues
  • assist in supervision, coaching and training of front end associates
  • participate in training new cashiers and use all tools to develop other cashiers
