Job Requirements

high school diploma or equivalent
at least one year of cashier experience
basic proficiency with point of sale systems
excellent customer service skills
ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
strong communication skills
availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

provide fast, friendly, accurate and safe service to customers
process checkout and return transactions
monitor and maintain the self-checkout area
proactively seek product and project knowledge to provide customers with information and identify selling opportunities
follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink
position and support cashiers by expediting price checks
approve point of sale transactions and markdowns for various registers and service desks
provide first level escalation for customer issues
assist in supervision, coaching and training of front end associates
participate in training new cashiers and use all tools to develop other cashiers
