exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 30 pounds frequently and 10 pounds constantly to move objects
availability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

1-3 months of cashiering experience
strong oral, written communication and reading skills
excellent customer service skills
ability to apply basic math, grammar, punctuation and spelling

Job Duties

Greet all customers when entering and exiting the store
promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and clearly explain all benefits
accurately balance cash drawer at the end of the day
maintain a clean working environment and personal work space
engage in conversation with customers to add a personal touch to each transaction
end each transaction by saying thank you to every customer
maintain a professional appearance on the sales floor
contribute to a work environment that fosters pride in being part of a winning team and promotes personal growth
perform basic math and interpret bar graphs
read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
write simple correspondence
present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
demonstrate strong communication, organization, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
exercise judgment and tact while working with customers or coworkers
work assigned schedules including varied hours, evenings, weekends and holidays
assist in all other duties as assigned
