Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Possess 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience
Demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior
Have the ability to operate front end equipment
Be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Have good communication skills
Ability to take direction and constructive criticism
Participate effectively in a team environment
Perform repetitious activities with multitasking, prioritization, and organizational skills
Lift and carry products weighing up to 30 pounds without mechanical assistance
Use both hands to move grocery carts requiring force up to 35 pounds
Strong attention to detail with proficiency in cash handling and mathematical skills
Ability to read, write, and count

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of recent cashiering experience
Outgoing and friendly demeanor with a positive attitude
Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Ability to operate front end equipment such as register, calculator, and scanner
Proficiency in cash handling and mathematical skills
Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask and prioritize
Physical ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and to push carts requiring up to 35 pounds of force

Job Duties

Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner while processing their purchases accurately and efficiently
Handle customer transactions including cash, credit, and debit payments with precision and security
Assist customers by providing information about products, store promotions, and directions to product locations within the store
Maintain cleanliness and organization of checkout areas including facing merchandise, dusting, and stocking shelves as needed
Collaborate closely with front end managers and Head Cashier to ensure smooth and effective operation of the front end
Resolve customer complaints promptly and courteously to ensure complete customer satisfaction
Follow all store policies and procedures related to cash handling, customer service, and general operations
