Job Requirements

Less than high school education, GED or high school degree preferred
Must obtain State Food Handler certification within 60 days of hire
Ability to comprehend simple instructions
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Willingness to work variable schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 60 pounds occasionally
No prior supervisory responsibilities
No computer skills required

Job Duties

Greets customers with a positive and friendly attitude
Enters orders into POS system, uses suggestive selling of food products to customers, receives payment (cash and credit card), makes change and maintains cash drawer
Presents orders to guests and ensures accuracy of order
Assists with order filling as needed
Reads monitor to identify products that need to be prepared
Notifies cook of special orders, shortages and needs
Performs minor food preparation, stocks supplies, cleans dining room tables and restrooms, sweeps, mops, discards trash and fills ice bins
Sets up workstations with all needed ingredients and equipment
Communicates with customers, team members and managers in a positive and professional manner
Maintains cleanliness on the service counter and order presentation counter
Maintains cleanliness, organization and rotation of the display cooler
Observes health and sanitation guidelines and follows established procedures
Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation and takes ownership of area
Looks for opportunities to assist fellow team members
Performs other duties as assigned
Works variable schedules including evenings, weekends and holidays
