Job Description
The Head Cashier position is a pivotal role within the retail store's front end operations. Head Cashiers oversee checkout lanes and ensure that cashier associates provide fast, friendly, accurate, and safe service to all customers. They are responsible for processing checkout and return transactions efficiently and maintaining the self-checkout areas by monitoring usage and handling any issues that arise. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- at least one year experience as a cashier
- basic math skills
- ability to stand for extended periods
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to handle customer disputes professionally
- familiarity with store policies and procedures
