Job Duties

  • Greet and engage customers actively
  • process customer transactions quickly and accurately
  • handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers
  • adhere to cash shortage and overage limits
  • enforce company policies on restricted sale items
  • report pricing discrepancies to Scan Coordinator
  • follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • stay updated with current and seasonal promotions
  • comply with all food safety regulations
  • identify and report unsafe conditions and accidents
  • perform preventive maintenance checks and report repair needs
  • answer customer questions about products and store policies
  • comply with all local, state, and federal laws
  • work cooperatively in high-paced environments
  • manage conflicts calmly and cooperatively
  • act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • follow directions and seek assistance when needed
  • support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
