Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- One year of prior retail or related experience preferred
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact politely and effectively with customers

Job Duties
- Operate cash register and electronic scanner to itemize customer purchases
- Process financial transactions including cash, checks, credit cards, food stamps, WIC, loyalty cards, gift certificates, rain checks, voids, and coupons accurately
- Weigh and carefully bag customer purchases
- Understand use of check-stand equipment and its efficient operation
- Perform front-end merchandising such as newspapers, periodicals, candy, etc.
- Ensure proper use of product identification and corresponding PLUs
- Communicate company programs and in-store specials to customers
- Comply with company policies on security, cash handling, product handling, alcohol and tobacco sales
- Maintain cleanliness and stock levels of department
- Assist with stocking items as needed
- Follow all PPE, safety, food safety, cleaning, and guest experience guidelines
- Perform tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
