Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of cashier experience
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Basic math skills
  • Excellent customer service abilities
  • Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Ability to handle escalated customer issues effectively

Job Duties

  • Provide fast, friendly, accurate and safe service to customers
  • Process checkout and return transactions
  • Monitor and maintain the self-checkout area
  • Proactively seek product and project knowledge to inform customers and identify selling opportunities
  • Position cashiers and support them by expediting price checks
  • Approve point of sale transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, self-checkout, returns, pro desk, special services, and tool rental
  • Provide first level escalation for customer issues
  • Assist in supervision, coaching and training of front end associates, including participation in the training of new cashiers
  • Utilize all available tools to coach and develop other cashiers
