Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of cashier experience
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Basic math skills
- Excellent customer service abilities
- Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- At least one year of cashier experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to handle escalated customer issues effectively
- Experience in supervising or coaching team members is an advantage
- Good numerical and cash handling skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn product and project information quickly
Job Duties
- Provide fast, friendly, accurate and safe service to customers
- Process checkout and return transactions
- Monitor and maintain the self-checkout area
- Proactively seek product and project knowledge to inform customers and identify selling opportunities
- Position cashiers and support them by expediting price checks
- Approve point of sale transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, self-checkout, returns, pro desk, special services, and tool rental
- Provide first level escalation for customer issues
- Assist in supervision, coaching and training of front end associates, including participation in the training of new cashiers
- Utilize all available tools to coach and develop other cashiers
