Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years recent cashiering experience
Outgoing and friendly behavior
Positive attitude
Ability to operate register, calculator and scanner
Dependable and reliable
Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
Good communication skills
Ability to take direction and constructive criticism
Ability to perform repetitious activities
Ability to multitask, prioritize and stay organized
Lift and carry product weighing up to 30 lbs
Move grocery carts requiring force up to 35 lbs
Strong attention to detail
Proficiency with numbers
Proficient in cash handling and math skills
Ability to read, write and count

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Process each customer order quickly, accurately and efficiently while ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service
Handle customer cash, credit/debit payments and provide change accurately
Provide information and resolve customer complaints professionally
Follow all front end procedures and assist with stocking shelves, facing and dusting as needed
Maintain knowledge of weekly ad items and store events
Guide customers to product locations within the store
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness at checkout areas consistently
