Job Requirements

A high school diploma or GED equivalent
Excellent computer skills/competency in PDI Enterprise POS
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to learn simple tasks quickly and work with little or no supervision
Basic math skills
Food Handlers Permit if required by store/county
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
Have open availability to work all shifts as needed at home store and other stores within district

Job Duties

Take measures to preserve the safety of employees and all others in the work location
Operate POS (cash register and fuel console) precisely and accurately manage money and other types of payment received for product sold
Enter all transactions into the register, accept payments and account for all funds
Conduct sales transactions accurately and quickly
Perform service transactions including credit card transactions, manufacturer coupon redemption, vendor check-in, alcohol, tobacco and lottery sales, and fast-food sales
Check identification for alcohol, tobacco, and lottery products according to company policy
Actively participate in all sales promotions and campaigns
Practice suggestive selling and build customer relations
Review and adhere to all laws affecting store operations
Maintain a neat personal appearance and wear company uniform and name tag
Prepare hot food items as designated by Store Manager
Ensure the store is free of litter and spills and all equipment is sanitized
Sweep floors and mop as needed
Wipe down Fuel Delivery area and pumps
Ensure restroom is clean and restocked
Perform regular cleaning of counters, store equipment and trash
Dust and organize merchandise and backroom supplies
Receive product deliveries and stock shelves
Conduct daily inspections of perishable products
Follow company policy on robbery and safety
Act as backup cashier when needed
Brew fresh coffee and maintain condiment bar
Deep clean during night shifts
Prepare for morning rush with fresh coffee and restocked creamer machine
