The primary focus of this role is to ensure a consistent, memorable customer shopping experience by providing the highest level of service to guests while supporting the sales team and back-of-house partners. As a key member of the retail staff, you will be responsible for assisting customers in various capacities that range from direct sales floor interaction to supporting guest services such as the call center and guest kitchen. Your role will be crucial in greeting clients, understanding their individual shopping needs, offering personalized assistance, and guiding them to the appropriate sales professionals or departments. A welcoming environment is central to your responsibilities — you will contribute to generating customer traffic and fostering long-term loyalty by exceeding customer expectations through personal attention and efficient problem resolution.
Beyond customer interaction, the position requires multitasking and collaboration with various store departments including operations to manage product transfers, deliveries, and inventory restocking. You will play a significant role in the store’s daily operations, from preparing the store for open and close by organizing merchandise and maintaining orderly front and back-of-house areas to assisting in sales processing and knowledge of store policies regarding returns, markdowns, discounts, tax, security, and packaging.
A unique element of this position includes supporting the Guest Kitchen by preparing food and beverages to customer specifications, ensuring that the in-store experience aligns with Ralph Lauren's luxury standards. Flexibility is essential, as you will be expected to provide floor assistance across different departments based on operational needs, maintain clean fitting rooms, and handle phone inquiries efficiently.
