The role of Cashier at SNIPES is a part-time, regular position with an hourly pay range between $16.40 and $18.04. This role is critical as it represents the front line of the customer experience within the store environment. The Cashier is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service by efficiently managing point of sale transactions, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring the store upholds its brand standards and visual appeal. A successful Cashier at SNIPES demonstrates leadership through actively driving sales and achieving individual and store performance goals, including meeting targets related to sales, average dollar sales, and units per transaction. The position demands a thorough understanding of customer service and selling skills, which are developed through comprehensive company training programs. Building strong customer relationships with a friendly attitude is essential to the role, as well as participating enthusiastically in promotions, contests, and incentive programs designed to boost store performance. Additionally, the Cashier helps maintain operational excellence by adhering to company standards related to appearance, knowledge, and professional behavior. Effective multitasking, including the ability to print merchandise tags promptly and handle multiple customers simultaneously, is required. The Cashier must communicate customer needs and feedback to Store Management to ensure the merchandise offering consistently meets local demand. Maintaining control over merchandise, managing cash wrap areas, and demonstrating professionalism in all customer interactions, including telephone communication, completes the scope of responsibilities for this role.
