Job Requirements
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age
- Prefer previous experience operating a cash register or handling cash
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
- Ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions
- Ability to move, lift, carry and place merchandise and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds unassisted
- Frequently reach overhead, below knees, push, pull, squat, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch and twist with or without bearing weight
- Continuous repetitive motion with hands and arms such as grasping, gripping and turning
- Stand or walk continuously during shift for up to 4 hours
- Ability to visually locate merchandise and verify information often in small print
- May be exposed to various weather conditions and indoor environmental variations
- May be exposed to chemicals or allergens such as latex, eggs, nuts, soy, wheat
- Employment contingent upon completion and evaluation of PEP survey, drug screen, employment reference check, criminal background check, or credit check
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in operating a cash register or handling cash preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Customer service orientation
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
Job Duties
- Process transactions efficiently and accurately according to company guidelines and legal regulations
- Perform proper bagging techniques ensuring food safety and product integrity
- Identify customer needs and provide appropriate services such as carry out and promotional information
- Apply critical thinking to resolve customer issues in an organized manner
- Maintain safety and quality standards while handling products and performing duties
- Build and foster positive relationships with customers and colleagues
- Deliver superior customer service by removing barriers and following company customer service programs
