Job Requirements

  • Customer service experience
  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
  • Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk preferred
  • Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment
  • Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner
  • Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
  • Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Duties

  • Greet and engage customers actively
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Understand and operate Point of Sale (POS) system
  • Handle various payment types including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons
  • Adhere to company policies on restricted sales items and cash handling
  • Report pricing discrepancies and equipment issues to management
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations and store procedures
