Job Requirements

high school diploma or equivalent
previous cashier experience preferred
basic math proficiency
ability to stand for extended periods
basic computer skills
strong customer service orientation
ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

minimum of one year cashier experience preferred
effective communication and interpersonal skills
knowledge of point of sale systems
ability to handle customer inquiries and resolve issues
coaching and training capabilities
basic math skills for transaction processing
ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

process checkout and return transactions
monitor and maintain the self-checkout area
seek product and project knowledge to provide customer information and identify selling opportunities
position cashiers and support them by expediting price checks and approving transactions and markdowns
provide first-level escalation for customer issues
assist in supervising, coaching and training front-end associates
participate in the training of new cashiers and use coaching tools to develop other cashiers
