Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 16 years of age
  • On the job training typically provided
  • TABC, LACT, AATC, or ABLE certification required where applicable
  • Must be 21 years or older to drive for company business
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must maintain courteous customer service
  • Ability to accurately handle cash and transactions
  • Must follow all company policies and safety procedures

  • Must be attentive to potential hazards and report issues appropriately

Job Duties

  • Ensure correct checkout totals by accurately weighing, keying, and scanning items
  • Maintain accurate money count in register at all times
  • Access or memorize product codes and stay familiar with ads and special items
  • Stay current on tender policies and procedures including checks, credit, debit, coupons, EBT, and WIC
  • Maintain friendly and customer-service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions, locating and promoting products, and responding to complaints
  • Promote Thank You Card program enrollment and assist with sign-ups
  • Properly bag groceries by grouping like items, limiting bag weight, and preventing food cross-contamination
  • Handle objects carefully to avoid product damage
  • Stock, clean, and maintain front-end racks, drink coolers, and cleaning supply stations
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary working and shopping environment by following company safety procedures
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal laws regarding sales of restricted items such as tobacco, alcohol, and cannabis-based pharmaceuticals
