Job Requirements
- Ability to perform multiple tasks
- Frequent standing, reaching with hands and arms, stooping and kneeling
- Maintain composure when dealing with staff and occasionally under conditions of urgency and/or pressure situations in a fast-paced environment
- Be of legal age according to State regulations to serve alcohol
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures as directed by the Restaurant Manager
- Ability to be aware of and follow company policies and procedures related to job safety, including safety rules and regulations
- Proficient reading and writing skills
- Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills
- Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 lbs or less
- Manual dexterity
- Auditory and visual skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years related work experience or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Prior experience in cashier or food service positions
- Valid ServSafe or other approved Food Handler Certification
- High level of integrity and honesty
Job Duties
- Greet guests, receive food orders, repeat food orders, charge the appropriate price for each menu item ordered by guests, receive the correct amount tendered by guests and provide the correct change for each transaction
- Be able to enact gift cards requested by guests
- Be very familiar with and up to date with California Fish Grill Restaurant's menu and prices
- Interact with guests in a friendly/fast manner
- Ability to make corrections to guest orders in a fast and efficient manner
- Ability to determine counterfeit money and respond to situations involving counterfeit money
- Assure age requirements are verified prior to serving alcoholic beverages
