Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous retail and/or customer service experience including money-handling
- Experience with point-of-sale systems
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Good computer and internet skills
- Pleasant and courteous personality
- Ability to calculate materials, repair charges, taxes, and understand various warranty types
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to multitask and work in fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

- Ability to handle financial transactions accurately and rapidly

Job Qualifications
- 1 plus years experience preferred
- Automotive dealership experience a plus
- Service or hospitality industries experience a plus
- Previous retail and/or customer service experience
- Point-of-sale (cash register) and credit or debit card processing skills
- Strong math skills and ability to handle financial transactions rapidly and accurately
- Knowledge of automotive servicing or repair highly desired
- Helpful attitude and friendly demeanor
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organization skills and ability to multi-task
- Highly trustworthy and security conscious
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Confidence in ability to be successful

Job Duties
- Accepts responsibility and accountability for his or her money drawer
- Coordinates questions and issues with the appropriate department personnel
- Addresses customer concerns and issues or escalates them as needed
- Helps with clerical/office tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining records, sending bills, answering phones, ordering supplies
- Ensures that all customer contact information is up-to-date and accurate
- Follows all safety and security procedures
- Maintains confidentiality of company and customer information at all times
- Reconciles repair order including calculating material charges, retail prices for parts, fluids, labor and taxes
- Collects total retail charges from customers by cash, check or authorized charge account
- Provides customers with proper change and/or receipts
- Properly documents charges and purchases according to company policy
- Calculates and enters warranty charges as applicable
- Accumulates repair orders and parts invoices closed during the business day for the business office
- Maintains effective labor rate control forms as directed by management
- Controls keys associated with completed repair orders and returns customer keys upon payment
- Files repair orders as directed by service department management
- Answers service department telephone calls and takes messages when necessary
- Performs other duties as assigned
