Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years related work experience or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Prior experience in cashier or food service positions
- Valid ServSafe or approved Food Handler Certification
- Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure
- Familiarity with POS and credit card equipment operation
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol according to state regulations
- Strong interpersonal and communicative skills
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism
- Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items up to 50 lbs
- Adherence to company policies and safety regulations
- Proficient reading and writing skills
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years related work experience or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position
- Prior experience related to cashier or food service positions
- Valid ServSafe or other approved Food Handler Certification
- High level of integrity and honesty
Job Duties
- Greet customers, receive food orders, repeat food orders, charge the appropriate price for each menu item ordered by customers, receive the correct amount tendered by customers and provide the correct change for each transaction
- Be able to enact gift cards requested by customers
- Be very familiar with and up to date with California Fish Grill Restaurant's menu and prices
- Interact with guests in a friendly/fast manner
- Ability to make corrections to customer orders in a fast and efficient manner
- Ability to determine counterfeit money and respond to situations involving counterfeit money
- Assure age requirements are verified prior to serving alcoholic beverages
- Treat all customers in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction
- Report to work in a neat and clean uniform
- Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential
- Keeps work area neat and clean at all times
- Cleans and maintains equipment used
- Completes requirements for in-service training, acceptable attendance, uniform and dress codes including personal hygiene, and other work duties as assigned
