Job Duties

  • Greet customers visibly and engage them actively
  • process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers
  • adhere to company policies on cash shortages, overages, and restricted sale items
  • report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
  • follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • stay informed on current and seasonal promotions and ads
  • comply with all food safety regulations and guidelines
  • reinforce safety programs by identifying unsafe conditions and notifying management
  • perform preventative maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting issues
  • create a welcoming environment and assist customers with product inquiries
  • abide by all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
  • work cooperatively in a fast-paced and stressful environment
  • manage conflict reasonably and non-confrontationally
  • act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
