Job Duties
- Greet customers visibly and engage them actively
- process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers
- adhere to company policies on cash shortages, overages, and restricted sale items
- report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- stay informed on current and seasonal promotions and ads
- comply with all food safety regulations and guidelines
- reinforce safety programs by identifying unsafe conditions and notifying management
- perform preventative maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting issues
- create a welcoming environment and assist customers with product inquiries
- abide by all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- work cooperatively in a fast-paced and stressful environment
- manage conflict reasonably and non-confrontationally
- act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
- provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
