Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is desirable
Ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions
Commitment to maintaining safety and adhering to regulations
Ability to manage conflict in a nonconfrontational manner
Integrity and honesty in handling customer and business information

Job Duties

Being visible and actively greeting customers
Engaging and assisting customers
Processing customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
Handling various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, offline SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, complex loyalty offers, coupons
Adhering to company policies on cash shortages and overages to control loss
Understanding and enforcing guidelines on restricted sale items like alcohol, tobacco, DVDs
Reporting pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
Following established policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
Staying current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads
Adhering to all food safety regulations and guidelines
Complying with safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions
Performing preventive maintenance inspections of equipment
Creating a welcoming environment by answering questions about products
Adhering to all local, state, federal laws, and company guidelines
Working cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
Managing conflict reasonably and nonconfrontationally
Acting with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
Following directions and seeking assistance when necessary
Providing support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
Performing essential job functions with or without accommodation
