Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED
1-2 years related work experience
valid ServSafe or other approved Food Handler Certification
ability to stand for extended periods
ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs
ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
maintain composure under pressure
follow company policies and safety procedures
legal age to serve alcohol according to state regulations

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
1-2 years related work experience or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience
prior experience related to cashier or food service positions
valid ServSafe or other approved Food Handler Certification
high level of integrity and honesty
ability to properly charge the correct price for food and drink items
ability to operate a POS system
ability to operate credit card equipment
proficiency in reading and writing
proficient interpersonal relations and communication skills
ability to follow written and oral instructions
ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 lbs or less
manual dexterity
auditory and visual skills

Job Duties

Greet customers
receive food orders
repeat food orders
charge the appropriate price for each menu item ordered by customers
receive the correct amount tendered by customers and provide the correct change for each transaction
enact gift cards requested by customers
be very familiar with and up to date with California Fish Grill Restaurant's menu and prices
interact with guests in a friendly and fast manner
make corrections to customer orders in a fast and efficient manner
determine counterfeit money and respond to situations involving counterfeit money
assure age requirements are verified prior to serving alcoholic beverages
treat all customers in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction
report to work in a neat and clean uniform
keep work area neat and clean at all times
clean and maintain equipment used
complete requirements for in-service training, acceptable attendance, uniform and dress codes including personal hygiene
support the mission, values and vision of California Fish Grill and the facility
support, cooperate with and implement specific procedures and programs for safety, confidentiality, compliance with law, and sexual harassment free work environment
cooperate and work together with all co-workers
use tactful communications in sensitive situations
follow up with supervisor, co-workers or guests regarding complaints
promote positive public relations with community, family members and guests
perform other duties as required or requested
