Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old
- No prior experience necessary
- Must successfully complete Smashburger training program
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Adhere to the Smashburger uniform policy
- Ability to follow company policies and employment regulations
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and provide valid work documents
- Punctuality and reliability in attendance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Strong customer service skills
- Basic math and cash handling proficiency
- Teamwork and collaboration skills
- Willingness to learn and complete training programs
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices beneficial
Job Duties
- Greet guests with a smile
- Promote a fun and positive work environment
- Work effectively with team members including cooks and managers
- Be knowledgeable of all menu items to make meal suggestions and answer questions
- Verify guest orders for accuracy and process POS transactions following cash handling procedures
- Visit tables after food delivery to ensure guests have everything they need
- Adhere to marketing promotions and encourage guest survey participation
- Follow personal and food safety and security standards
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, counters, dining area, and restrooms
- Follow company cash policies to minimize losses
- Upsell food items through thoughtful suggestions
- Follow order accuracy procedures to ensure customer satisfaction
