Job Requirements
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination, boosters, and/or regular COVID testing as required
- ability to perform essential cashier duties including cash handling and customer service
- availability to work full-time schedule with variable days from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm
- prior experience in cashiering or food service a plus
- compliance with company policies and procedures
- strong attention to detail and ability to manage cash drawer accurately
- legal eligibility to work in the United States
- ability to interact professionally with diverse customers and coworkers
- willingness to adhere to health and safety regulations including ServSafe standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous cashier or food service experience is a plus
- excellent customer service and communication skills
- ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- basic math skills
- familiarity with cash registers and point of sale systems
- ability to maintain cleanliness and comply with safety and sanitation standards
- positive attitude and strong work ethic
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Performs sales transactions in a timely fashion
- enters all sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded
- makes change, accepts declining balance cards and other acceptable forms of payment
- issues receipts to customers
- follows standard procedures for issuing cash refunds
- interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts ensuring that cash drawer is in compliance with overage/shortage standards
- observes customer purchases in the cafe line and differentiates between standard portions
- replenishes condiments, coffee, other beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service areas
- keeps pastry case stocked
- ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures
- ensures compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements
- performs other duties as assigned
