Job Requirements

Must be able to work variable shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
Employment is subject to a criminal background check
Pre-employment physical required
Compliance with UC San Diego's Policy on Vaccination Programs
Ability to work 8-hour shifts Sunday through Saturday
Strong attention to detail
Ability to maintain cleanliness and organize workspace

Job Qualifications

One year of cashiering experience, preferably in a food service setting
Superb customer service skills
Excellent communication skills
Proven ability to identify and use POS data management systems accurately
Demonstrated ability to follow cashiering policies and procedures
Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English

Job Duties

Maintain full responsibility of all cash and sales transactions
Operate Point of Sale system rapidly and accurately
Make coffee and maintain cleanliness of coffee station and surrounding area
Clean dining room tables and stock retail cafe
Meet customer needs using diplomacy, tact, and flexibility
Uphold department standards and policies
Perform other related tasks as necessary
