Work experience or training that includes the exchange of money for purchases and making change
proven prior successful customer service experience
possession of a food handler's card
ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation

good understanding of math
experience in customer service
knowledge of cleanliness and food service practices
ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
high school diploma or GED certificate preferred
two years cashiering experience preferred

Job Duties

Receives monies or processes credit card purchases for goods and services in a dining area, bookstore, retail store, parking lot or ticket booth
totals purchases and collects correct amounts, issues parking ticket on entrance and collects fee on exit, or takes payment in exchange for a ticket to a performance or event
makes accurate change
obtains previously counted cash from a central cashier supply
counts and verifies beginning amount
may record till amounts on the cash count slip
assists customers by greeting them, informing about specific menu items, and helping find items
rings up purchases and directs customers to condiment areas
answers general questions about the department
provides directions to other places on Marquam Hill
stocks restaurant items
cleans the dining area while not ringing in customers
participates in preparing simple recipes and other food service duties including serving food and cleaning up after events
performs additional duties as assigned
