Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in vocational rehabilitation, psychology, sociology, counseling or related degree
- Equivalent training and experience in social service, counseling, or rehabilitation setting considered
- Experience providing direct services to persons with physical, emotional, mental or developmental disabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to relate effectively to disabled persons, parents, and guardians
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively
- Effective planning and organizational skills
- High degree of maturity, good judgment, responsibility, and initiative
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to make decisions and interact with the public
- Ability to write clear, concise, and accurate reports and timely submission
- Excellent time management skills
- Working knowledge of community resources
- Ability to train and motivate consumers
- Capability to handle conflict effectively
- Professional appearance and conduct
- Flexibility to work any hours as needed, including evenings and weekends
- Must be at least 21 years old with no major traffic violations in the last 3 years
- Must have reliable transportation and ability to operate a company vehicle
