Job Description
Tennessee National Golf Club is a prestigious and premiere gated lakefront community located in Loudon, Tennessee, just minutes away from the vibrant city of Knoxville. Renowned for its exceptional lifestyle offerings, Tennessee National boasts access to an impressive array of state-of-the-art amenities. These include a Greg Norman signature golf course, a marina for residents and guests, multiple restaurants and bars, racquetball facilities, a pool, and a concert venue. The community is continually evolving, with exciting developments such as a soon-to-open 25,000 square foot Clubhouse and extensive hiking trails that further enhance the resident experience and leisure opportunities.
Joining the Golf Outside Operations Team at Tennessee National Golf Club as a Cart Attendant offers an engaging part-time role with a flexible work schedule that promotes a supportive team environment. This role offers hourly wages with the added benefit of tips, creating an attractive compensation package. The position provides great opportunities for individuals who enjoy working in outdoor environments and interacting with members and guests while delivering exceptional service.
As a Golf Cart Attendant, you will be the face of the club for members and guests, greeting them personally and providing outstanding service and information about golf functions. Responsibilities include offering clean golf carts equipped with towels and golf accessories, enforcing club policies such as the dress code, and ensuring the smooth operation of cart-related activities on the course. Being a critical part of the golf operations, this role demands both physical stamina and the ability to engage warmly and professionally with club members.
The role requires meticulous attention to detail in tasks such as placing members’ golf bags on carts in designated areas, maintaining the overall cleanliness and readiness of carts—especially after use—, and ensuring safety protocols and club policies are observed at all times. On any given day, cart attendants are expected to assist with valet parking, monitor the distribution of equipment, pick up trash, and maintain supplies like towels and water stations, ensuring a high standard of service and operational excellence.
Position holders must also be prepared to support golf range activities or serve as course rangers as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a can-do attitude. The physical demands of the role are significant, with requirements to stand for extended periods, lift and carry golf bags and other equipment, and perform repetitive tasks such as bending, crouching, and cleaning. Safety is paramount, and adherence to standard safety practices including the use of protective gear is mandatory.
Tennessee National Golf Club fosters a welcoming culture that prioritizes work-life balance and provides team members with rewarding experiences both professionally and personally. This part-time position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about golf, enjoy interacting with a community of like-minded individuals, and take pride in maintaining the quality and presentation of a top-tier golf facility. The club’s commitment to outstanding service and member satisfaction makes it a desirable workplace for those seeking to join a respected and dynamic team.
