Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods without rest or sitting
  • Ability to push, lift, carry, and transfer up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to reach with hands and use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls
  • Ability to bend and stoop
  • Ability to verbally communicate effectively
  • Ability to use close, distance, color, peripheral vision and depth perception
  • Ability to freely access all areas of restaurant including selling floor, stock area, and register area
  • 0-2 years related experience
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations and customer service practices

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 0-2 years related experience in restaurant or customer service
  • Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
  • Detail oriented with ability to multi-task
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills
  • Dependability and exceptional teamwork skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Basic cash handling and transaction accuracy
  • Familiarity with food safety standards

Job Duties

  • Greet all guests in a friendly, warm, and welcoming manner
  • Understand and utilize menu knowledge and situational selling techniques when placing orders for carryout guests
  • Package food and beverage orders, condiments, and appropriate items promptly and accurately
  • Ensure items are prepared properly and on a timely basis, following company standards
  • Communicate professionally with guests to determine their needs and assist with menu selections
  • Wear a headset to communicate with managers and teammates to expedite guest experience
  • Handle cash and credit transactions
  • Practice safe food and beverage handling and maintain cleanliness
  • Keep carry out area clean and stocked
  • Safely handle food prep equipment such as beverage machines and salad cases
  • Monitor cleanliness, organization, and stock levels of bakery and retail areas
  • Effectively handle guest complaints and involve manager when appropriate
  • Answer phone calls using company script quickly and friendly
  • Accurately input carry out orders into computer system
  • Assist in expediting and delivery of meals to dine-in guests
  • Assist in greeting guests and escorting them to tables
  • Assist in cashing guests out if cashier is unavailable
  • Assist with pre-bussing tables, rolling silverware, or other needed tasks
  • Perform other duties as assigned
