The role of Shift Supervisor within the fast-food operations at Cal State Fullerton plays a critical leadership role in maintaining smooth daily store functions. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, the Shift Supervisor assumes key responsibilities in the Manager’s absence, ensuring operational continuity and a positive customer experience that reflects the brand’s values. This position demands a proactive leader who can manage fast-paced environments effectively, delegate tasks wisely, and support the development and motivation of the team. The Shift Supervisor also plays an essential role in enforcing company policies, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, and continuously identifying opportunities for operational improvement.
This role requires a hands-on approach, including direct involvement in food preparation during busy periods and managing transactions accurately through the Point of Sale (POS) system. The Shift Supervisor is empowered to make real-time business decisions that maximize sales, profitability, and cost control, contributing to the overall success of the dining operation. A strong commitment to inclusivity and a positive workplace culture is paramount, ensuring that all staff and patrons experience a respectful and welcoming environment. Candidates are expected to embody the values of Cal State Fullerton and Auxiliary Services Corporation by supporting the university’s diversity initiatives and fostering an atmosphere that promotes team engagement and excellence in service.
