Role Description: The carhop is a vital team member responsible for delivering food and beverages to guests by carrying trays that weigh up to 25 pounds, balancing speed with care to maintain high-quality standards. Carhops assist guests with payments, ensure accurate change handling, and maintain cleanliness inside and outside the restaurant premises. They perform routine cleaning tasks such as mopping, washing dishes, sanitizing food preparation areas, and disposing of trash to meet operational standards. Additional duties may include moving and stocking food products weighing up to 50 pounds and performing as a skating carhop after completing the necessary training, which involves serving guests while on roller skates. This position requires physical stamina including continuous standing, bending, lifting, and occasionally working in challenging environments such as exposure to heat, freezer conditions, and variable weather.
