Job Requirements
- At least one year experience providing care services for seniors
- Knowledge of basic first aid
- High school diploma or GED

- Promote teamwork in providing services to residents
- Understanding of state and federal guidelines for assisted living
- Knowledge of HIPAA requirements
- Understanding of safe food handling procedures
- Familiarity with nursing standards of practice for older adults
- Strong skills in nurturing organization and working with older adults
- Previous experience working in senior living preferred
Job Duties
- Provide services to each resident according to the resident service plan
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing dressing eating hygiene and mobility
- Monitor health safety and well-being of residents
- Document changes in residents’ functional status personal needs appointments etc.
- Maintain accurate record of chargeable services and submit to supervisor monthly
- Respond to resident emergencies provide first-aid and arrange medical attention
- Launder residents’ clothing linen and towels fold and return to residents
- Assist with minor housekeeping of residents’ apartments
- Serve meals and bus tables during mealtimes
- Report on-the-job injuries to supervisor before end of shift
- Encourage socialization among residents and promote activities
- Chaperone activities outside the facility when requested
- Maintain safe home-like environment for residents
- Practice safety with equipment chemicals tools and utensils
- Maintain confidentiality of information pertaining to residents facility and personnel
- Attend staff meetings and in-services
- Perform other duties as assigned
