Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- basic reading and writing skills and ability to speak English clearly
- knowledge and experience in working with elderly
- previous experience with dementia preferred
- certification required according to state regulations
- ability to stand walk bend and squat for prolonged periods
- ability to push and pull objects
- ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted
- full use of hands arms and legs
- ability to read thermometers charts and testing equipment
- ability to operate clothes washers dryers and kitchen appliances
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- basic reading and writing skills
- effective communication in English
- knowledge and experience working with elderly populations
- preferred experience with dementia care
- certification as required by state regulations
Job Duties
- assist residents with personal care including bathing and dressing
- provide food service support and assist with meal times
- perform housekeeping and laundry tasks to maintain cleanliness
- manage resident behavior and provide socialization activities
- support resident orientation and information needs
- collaborate as part of the health and wellness team
- ensure compliance with all resident care standards and protocols
