The organization prides itself on fostering a community where residents receive personalized attention catered to their physical, emotional, and social needs. Arden Courts operates multiple care centers designed to promote independence, dignity, and a fulfilling lifestyle for seniors, particularly those challenged by dementia and other age-related conditions.
As a Caregiver at Arden Courts, you will play a vital role in enhancing the daily lives of our residents. Your responsibilities encompass a broad spectrum of support including personal care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, assisting with food service, maintaining cleanliness through housekeeping and laundry duties, and engaging residents in meaningful social activities. The role requires keen attention to behavior management and the provision of orientation and information tailored to each resident's needs. You are an essential member of the Health and Wellness Team, collaborating closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that all residents receive exemplary care aligned with industry standards.
This position offers a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about eldercare and thrive in a team-oriented environment. Arden Courts values its caregivers by providing amazing benefits, including no mandated stay-over shifts for coverage, daily access to pay through ZayZoon, uniforms, employee discounts, and participation in employee appreciation events. Additional benefits such as Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), premium pay for holidays worked, and other incentives for PRN (pro re nata) staff underline the organization's commitment to employee well-being and satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent and demonstrate basic literacy and communication skills in English. Previous experience working with elderly populations and dementia care is preferred, complemented by certification as required by state regulations. Physical demands of the role include the ability to stand, walk, bend, squat for prolonged periods, push and pull objects, and lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Candidates should have full use of their hands, arms, and legs to perform tasks such as washing, dressing, cleaning, and food preparation. Additional competencies include the ability to read medical thermometers, charts, and operate household equipment like washers, dryers, and kitchen appliances.
Arden Courts is proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. Qualified applicants are considered without regard to race, color, national origin, ancestry, religion, sex/gender (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, veteran status, citizenship, marital status, genetics, or any other protected category under law. The organization fully complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendment Act (ADAAA) and offers accommodations upon request to applicants with disabilities.
