As a Caregiver at Arden Courts, you play a vital role within the Health & Wellness Team, assisting residents with all aspects of their daily lives. This multifaceted position requires a hands-on approach where you will support personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, and orientation efforts for every resident. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification required according to state regulations
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Ability to speak English in an understandable manner
- Knowledge and experience with elderly care
- Previous dementia experience preferred
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Full use of hands, arms, and legs for caregiving tasks
- Ability to read thermometers, charts, and operate household equipment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification according to state regulations
- Knowledge and experience in working with elderly individuals
- Previous experience with dementia preferred
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Ability to communicate in English in an understandable manner
Job Duties
- Assist residents with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide food service support including meal preparation and feeding assistance
- Perform housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment
- Manage resident behavior and support socialization and activities
- Offer orientation and information assistance to residents
- Collaborate with the Health & Wellness Team to deliver comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate resident needs to the care team
