Job Requirements

  • Available to work a minimum of 12 hours weekly and one weekend day for the first 90 days of employment
  • Must pass a criminal background check
  • Must have a negative TB test
  • Must register with the state of California as a home care aide
  • Must have car insurance and a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to lift and move 25 pounds
  • Willingness to learn with no certifications or degrees required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous caregiving experience is beneficial but not required
  • Ability to demonstrate compassion and patience
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic understanding of elderly care needs
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to use technology such as a caregiver app
  • Willingness to learn and complete paid training
  • Registration with the state of California as a home care aide

Job Duties

  • Provide safety supervision including bathing supervision, walking and transferring assistance, and fall prevention
  • Deliver dementia and Alzheimer's care with patience and understanding
  • Offer medication reminders to ensure client compliance
  • Plan and prepare meals following prescribed diet plans
  • Perform housekeeping duties such as dusting, changing bed linens, laundry, and cleaning bathrooms
  • Provide transportation assistance including grocery shopping and accompanying clients to appointments and social events
  • Assist with personal care tasks including hygiene, dressing, grooming, exercise assistance, and companionship
