Job Description
The hiring establishment is a reputable caregiving service that operates extensively across several counties including Knox, Anderson, Roan, Loudon, Blount, Sevier, Jefferson, Grainger, Union, Campbell, Claiborne, and Morgan County. This organization is dedicated to providing compassionate and professional in-home non-medical care to clients who require assistance with daily living activities. The company is well-known for its commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals who are no longer able to perform critical personal or household tasks independently. By offering personalized companionship and support, this service plays a crucial role in promoting the well-being and comfort of its clients in a safe home environment. The company values empathy, respect, and professionalism, ensuring that all clients receive the highest standard of care. Employment with this organization offers competitive pay, flexible scheduling, and comprehensive benefits to support the caregivers as they perform their duties.
The role of a caregiver at this organization involves a broad range of responsibilities centered on providing both physical and emotional support to clients. As a caregiver, your duties will include serving as a companion, which not only offers companionship but also helps prevent social isolation by encouraging participation in community activities. You will be transporting clients to and from medical appointments, errands, and other engagements, demonstrating both reliability and safe driving skills. Medication management is a critical component of this role, requiring attention to detail and adherence to care plans. Meal preparation is another essential task, ensuring clients receive appropriate and nutritious food. Light housekeeping responsibilities such as laundry and maintaining a clean living space help sustain a comfortable home environment. Assistance with personal care tasks such as bathing and dressing requires sensitivity and discretion while respecting the client’s dignity. Record keeping and reporting any significant changes to the nursing team is fundamental to maintaining high standards of care. This position demands excellent interpersonal skills, exceptional patience, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and supervisors. The caregiver must be dedicated to confidentiality and security of all client medical information and treat every individual with courtesy and respect. This role offers morning, evening, and night shifts with options for supplemental hours during holidays and overtime, contributing to a flexible work-life balance. Starting pay ranges from $13.75 to $15.00 per hour based on experience. This is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusivity in its workforce, and it supports continued professional growth and development within caregiving standards.
