Job Description
Timber Ridge at Talus is a distinguished senior living community located at the base of Cougar Mountain in Issaquah, Washington. This community is unique in the East Seattle area, offering a lifestyle and environment that embraces both the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest and the adventurous spirit of its residents. Known for its Silver LEED certification as the first Life Plan Community in the region, Timber Ridge at Talus combines sustainable construction with exceptional living options that allow seniors to enjoy their golden years in comfort and style. The community’s residents are often found engaging in social dinners, hiking nearby trails, or simply reveling in the spectacular mountain views that surround them.
Timber Ridge at Talus offers an all-inclusive lifestyle with superior hospitality services, making it stand out among senior living options. The campus is designed to support aging in place, ensuring residents can count on required health services and a supportive community as their needs evolve. Central to this commitment is the newly established TRAIL program, which stands for Timber Ridge Assistance in Living. TRAIL is an innovative Home Care Agency licensed to provide personalized in-home care designed to meet the diverse needs of seniors within the community. This program enriches the comprehensive care services available and represents a groundbreaking opportunity for compassionate caregivers to contribute meaningfully to the lives of older adults.
The role of a TRAIL Caregiver at Timber Ridge is vital in delivering high-quality, compassionate personal and household care to clients within their residences. This Caregiver position is a PRN role with flexible scheduling options including days, evenings, and weekends, making it ideal for professionals seeking adaptable working hours. The ideal candidate for this position will have one or more years of experience as a home care aide or personal care aide and hold a current certification such as CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), HCA (Home Care Aide), or NAR (Nurse Assistant Registered).
Caregivers in the TRAIL program work under the supervision of the Home Care Supervisor or designee, adhering strictly to individualized home care plans. Their duties encompass a broad range of personal care activities—bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance—as well as household support tasks such as meal preparation, transportation, and light housekeeping. This role demands a professional approach, excellent communication skills, and a deep respect for the dignity and autonomy of each resident. Experience with clients experiencing cognitive decline or dementia is preferred, as it enhances the caregiver’s ability to provide comfort and understanding.
Timber Ridge at Talus supports its caregivers with an extensive benefits package, competitive pay, and continuous opportunities for professional development. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; a 401(k) retirement plan with company match; health savings accounts; and even perks like pet insurance, tuition reimbursement, and free transportation to and from the Issaquah Transit Center. The environment here fosters teamwork, growth, and a genuine sense of community, making it a rewarding workplace for those dedicated to senior care.
