Job Description

Home Instead is a leading provider of in-home care services, dedicated to offering compassionate and personalized support to seniors to help them live independently and comfortably in their own homes. With a strong presence across communities, Home Instead specializes in delivering tailored care solutions that respect the dignity, preferences, and unique needs of each client. They focus on enhancing the quality of life for seniors through companionship, assistance with daily activities, and ensuring safety and wellbeing. The company operates with a commitment to professional excellence and compassionate service, backed by a network of trained caregivers who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of older adults. Home Instead is known for its community-oriented approach and its dedication to creating rewarding career opportunities for caregivers who want to contribute meaningfully to senior care. This particular franchise serving the Pasadena, Monrovia, and 210 corridor areas is independently owned and operated, but shares the same core principles and mission as the larger Home Instead network.

The Caregiver role at Home Instead in Pasadena and Monrovia is a part-time position that requires individuals who are not only compassionate and dependable but also comfortable with driving as an essential part of their job responsibilities. Caregivers will be driving seniors within a 10-15 mile radius to various destinations such as appointments, errands, and community activities, ensuring that clients remain active, engaged, and independent. The role is designed for those who enjoy being on the road and making a meaningful difference in seniors' daily lives through both transportation services and personal care assistance.

This position offers immediate shift openings, including morning shifts from 9 am to 1 pm, evening shifts from 3 pm to 11 pm, and weekend shifts, with a noted preference for weekend availability. The job provides a supportive environment with comprehensive benefits such as weekly and next-day pay through the TapCheck platform, a weekend differential for those working weekends, and health, dental, and vision insurance to support the caregiver's overall wellbeing. Alongside competitive compensation, Home Instead offers paid training programs, vacation time, a 401(k) retirement plan, and access to financial services through E-Central Credit Union.

Home Instead encourages career growth through direct care career paths leading to pay rates up to $25 per hour, supported by paid training programs and access to free Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training. Additional support includes in-field case management, America’s Job Centers of California On-the-Job Training grants, and other supportive services that facilitate the professional development and success of their caregivers. This role is ideally suited for those who take pride in providing exceptional care, enjoy working in a community-focused setting, and have the necessary qualifications and dedication to serve seniors effectively and safely.
