Our San Jacinto clinic is currently seeking a Front Desk Medical Receptionist who is bilingual in Spanish to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis. This role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $17 to $20 per hour with a schedule of 16-20 hours per week, primarily on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The Front Desk Medical Receptionist is a pivotal role responsible for managing the front desk operations and ensuring a seamless patient experience from check-in to check-out. This position is ideal for a friendly, organized, and patient-focused individual who enjoys interacting with people and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Responsibilities include greeting patients warmly and professionally, scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, verifying insurance coverage, processing authorizations, and handling payment collection. Maintaining accurate patient records in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations are essential aspects of this role. The receptionist will also manage incoming phone calls, address patient inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service to foster a welcoming healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have basic office and customer service skills, with previous experience in a similar role considered a plus but not mandatory. Most importantly, the candidate must be bilingual in Spanish to effectively communicate with our diverse patient population. Job Duties
- Managing front desk operations including patient check-in and check-out, appointment scheduling, and referral coordination while providing exceptional customer service
- Verifying insurance coverage, processing authorizations, and collecting payments to support accurate billing and ensure smooth patient access to care
- Maintaining accurate patient records by registering new patients, updating information in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, and preparing necessary documentation
- Answering phone calls and assisting patients in a courteous and professional manner while upholding HIPAA compliance and fostering a welcoming healthcare environment
- Supporting the overall office workflow and collaborating with clinical staff to enhance patient experience
- Ensuring confidentiality and security of patient information
- Assisting with end-of-day reporting and appointment confirmations
