Job Requirements

  • Bilingual Spanish speaker
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to work part-time hours (16-20 hours per week) including Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Friendly and patient-focused demeanor

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic office and customer service skills
  • Bilingual Spanish speaker required
  • Previous experience in medical office environment preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is a plus

Job Duties

  • Managing front desk operations including patient check-in and check-out, appointment scheduling, and referral coordination while providing exceptional customer service
  • Verifying insurance coverage, processing authorizations, and collecting payments to support accurate billing and ensure smooth patient access to care
  • Maintaining accurate patient records by registering new patients, updating information in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, and preparing necessary documentation
  • Answering phone calls and assisting patients in a courteous and professional manner while upholding HIPAA compliance and fostering a welcoming healthcare environment
  • Supporting the overall office workflow and collaborating with clinical staff to enhance patient experience
  • Ensuring confidentiality and security of patient information
  • Assisting with end-of-day reporting and appointment confirmations
