Job Description

Lexington Clinic is a renowned multi-specialty medical establishment located in Lexington, Kentucky, with a long-standing history of providing exceptional healthcare services since 1920. As a well-established and expanding clinic, Lexington Clinic is dedicated to delivering the highest quality patient care in a collaborative and supportive environment. The clinic encompasses over 30 different specialties, fostering an environment rich with expertise and comprehensive healthcare solutions for its patients. With its strong internal referral base, the clinic offers unmatched opportunities for integrated patient care and professional growth within a multidisciplinary setting.

Lexington Clinic is currently seeking a full-time General Cardiologist to join its flourishing cardiology department. The cardiologist will become a vital part of a multi-specialty group, enjoying privileges at an adjacent open-heart facility as well as two other nearby hospitals. This opportunity is perfect for cardiologists who desire a balanced yet dynamic professional schedule, with an anticipated daily clinic volume of 20-25 patients and a reasonable shared call schedule. The role includes a broad range of cardiology services such as cardioversion, diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, echocardiograms, EKGs, Holter and event monitors, nuclear stress tests, pacemakers and ICD implants, peripheral angiography with stent placement, stress echos and tests, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), and tilt table testing.

At Lexington Clinic, cardiologists have access to a large internal referral network comprising over 30 specialties, allowing for a steady and robust patient base while fostering collaborative care with other healthcare professionals. The role offers autonomy to manage one’s own practice within a supportive framework and the opportunity to participate in the partnership pathway, meaning you can become a part-owner of the practice. This role supports a flexible schedule to help you balance professional and personal life seamlessly. The collaborative and experienced multi-specialty peer network ensures a stimulating and supportive working atmosphere.

The compensation package is competitive and designed to reward expertise and dedication, including a significant signing and retention bonus of $150,000. Additionally, the position provides a comprehensive benefits package, featuring health and dental insurance, a 401K retirement plan, life insurance for both independent and dependent coverage, short-term and long-term disability insurance, long-term care coverage, generous vacation and CME time, a CME stipend, and a flexible spending account. This role represents a compelling opportunity to grow professionally with a practice that values your professional skills and supports your career development, all while delivering exceptional care to the Lexington community.
