The Car Delivery Driver position at the UC Davis store located at 202 E St, Davis CA 95616, is a crucial front-line role in the brand's customer experience. Known as the "Boots on the ground," the delivery driver is the main face customers see outside the bakery, directly representing the brand through every interaction. Job Requirements
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have own car with valid registration and insurance
- Must pass a motor vehicle background check
- Must have a smartphone with an active data plan
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
- Must be 18 years or older to be employed
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous delivery or customer service experience is a plus
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with the 2-mile radius surrounding the store is advantageous
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to use smartphones and delivery apps effectively
- Must be 18 years or older to be employed
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
Job Duties
- Check orders for quality and accuracy before they leave the store
- Deliver cookies, milk, and ice cream to customers in a timely and safe manner
- Provide quality customer service through positive and professional interactions with customers in person or by phone
- Use Insomnia's delivery app according to company standards and provide accurate status updates to customers
- Maintain knowledge of the delivery area to optimize routes and delivery times
- Ensure vehicle is clean, maintained, and stocked with the necessary items for delivery
- Comply with all traffic laws and company policies for safe driving practices
