Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two plus years of relevant experience in banquet and or catering service
  • Ability to train and lead banquet wait staff
  • Knowledge of fine dining service expectations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Physical stamina to stand and move for extended periods
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Minimum of two years of experience in banquet and or catering service
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of fine dining service standards
  • Ability to manage and train a team effectively
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficient in handling service equipment and inventory

  • Ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Meet with chef and stewarding to review scheduled groups menu and equipment requirements
  • Ensure agreement of delivery times, amounts and special arrangements
  • Train and direct banquet wait staff
  • Prepare and adjust weekly work schedules in accordance with staffing guidelines and labor forecasts
  • Monitor staff performance and appearance in all phases of service and job function
  • Ensure procedures are carried out to departmental standards and rectify deficiencies with respective personnel
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly
  • Maintain positive guest relations
  • Manage correct maintenance and use of equipment
  • Requisition new equipment as needed and maintain appropriate par levels for supplies and equipment
  • Ensure knowledge of service requirements for menu selection, ingredients, appearance, texture, quality standards, garnish and presentation method
  • Check storage areas for proper supplies, organization and cleanliness
  • Instruct designated personnel to rectify any cleanliness or organization deficiencies
  • Inspect function areas and rooms for cleanliness, working condition and proper setup
  • Rectify any deficiencies with respective departments
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested
