The full-time Captain position at Monsieur Dior in Beverly Hills, California, represents an exciting opportunity to join this exceptional team. This role is pivotal in embodying the spirit of the restaurant by providing outstanding service that leaves a lasting positive impression on guests. A Captain is entrusted with welcoming and attending to guests’ needs, clearly presenting the menu, communicating specials, managing food and beverage orders, and coordinating with the entire service team to create a seamless dining experience. This tipped position starts at an hourly wage of $17.87, exclusive of tips, reflecting the importance of professional service and guest satisfaction. The Captain also ensures compliance with responsible alcohol service, accurately processes orders and payments, and maintains a clean and organized work environment. This position requires physical stamina, visual and auditory awareness, and the ability to handle a fast-paced, high-volume setting effectively.
Candidates with experience in cash handling, credit card processing, and proficiency with point-of-sale systems in hospitality are highly beneficial for this role. While no formal education such as a high school diploma or GED is required, prior experience in serving within a high-volume environment will support success. The role demands flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and weekdays from Monday to Friday. Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs
- Must be able to walk, which may include walking up stairs, stand, and bend for long periods of time
- Visual awareness and hearing sufficient to take orders and prepare checks
- Experience in cash handling and credit card processing
- Beneficial if you have one year’s experience as a server in a high-volume environment
- Experience with a point-of-sale system in a service or hospitality environment
- No high school diploma or GED required

Job Duties
- Greet and attend to guests’ needs, provide menus and clearly communicate restaurant specials, answering menu questions, and collecting food and beverage orders
- Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, adhering to all alcohol service policies and procedures
- Accurately enter orders into the point-of-sale system and process payments, as well as prepare and deliver the check to guests
- Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen and bar staff
- Perform opening, closing, cleaning, and side work duties, as assigned and ensure all equipment and workspaces are clean, sanitized, organized, and functioning
