The server role at Vines is designed for individuals who bring not only technical proficiency in handling food and beverage service but also embody a spirit of warm hospitality. The selected candidates will be responsible for interacting directly with customers throughout their visit, fostering an inviting and comfortable dining experience. This includes presenting menus, answering questions, making thoughtful food and beverage recommendations, and ensuring that each course is served promptly and with care. A successful server at Vines is attentive, observant, and articulate, capable of managing orders from start to finish while anticipating guest needs without being intrusive. Exceptional communication skills and a passion for pairing wine and food to elevate the guest’s overall experience are essential components of this role. Candidates will be expected to work collaboratively with kitchen and bar staff to guarantee accuracy and quality in order preparation and delivery. Job Requirements

  • Must represent Vines mission, vision and values
  • at least 21 years of age
  • a minimum of 4-years experience in a full-service restaurant
  • experience in an upscale casual dining or equivalent service environment preferred
  • ability to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends and holidays
  • ability to communicate clearly with guests, managers and team members
  • ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure, in a fast-paced environment

  • must demonstrate genuine hospitality while greeting and establishing rapport with the guest and delivering an exceptional dining experience
  • a minimum of 4-years experience in a full-service restaurant required
  • experience in an upscale casual dining or an equivalent service environment preferred
  • captain/fine dining server with experience in team service front and back server
  • demonstrated ability to guide guests through menus while demonstrating thorough knowledge of our food, beverages and ingredients
  • ability to take accurate orders and partnering with team members to serve food and beverages that meet or exceed guests' expectations
  • ability to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends and holidays
  • ability to communicate clearly with guests, managers and team members
  • ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure, in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food
  • takes customer orders by writing them down or memorizing them
  • presents orders to the cooks on behalf of the patrons
  • serves customers their pre-ordered food
  • observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed
  • totals bill and accepts payment or refers patron to cashier
  • clears or resets table at the end of each course
  • thanks patrons and kindly invites them back for future dining
  • the company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time
